What are the smoke alarm requirements for homes?

Since 2022, all homes in England must have at least one smoke alarm on every storey and one carbon monoxide alarm in any room with a fixed combustion appliance (excluding gas cookers). New builds and full rewires require interlinked alarms. Rental properties have specific legal requirements. We install both battery and mains-wired interlinked alarms.
