What is Part P of the Building Regulations?

Part P of the Building Regulations covers electrical safety in dwellings in England. It requires that notifiable electrical work (new circuits, work in kitchens, bathrooms, outdoors, and more) is either carried out by a registered electrician who can self-certify, or notified to your local Building Control.
