Sockets

What is a spur from a socket?

A spur is an additional socket added to an existing ring circuit by running a cable from a socket already on the ring. You can add one unfused spur per socket on the ring. Fused connection units (FCUs) can be used to provide further extension. Spurs are a common and cost-effective way to add extra sockets without running a new circuit.
